He is married to Ms. Atluri Vijaya Lakshmi [1977, ECE] and they have 2 children, Priya Vellanki, and Raghava Vellanki. Priya is an endocrinologist in Chicago and Raghava is working in the IT industry. He is happily married to Sunitha; they have a grandson, Ajay Vellanki.

He is married to Ms. Atluri Vijaya Lakshmi [1977, ECE] another alumnus of our college and they happen to be our First Patron Couple of Hyderabad Alumni Association.
